What we do, in plain terms
No jargon and no promises we cannot keep. Here is exactly how a booking with us works, start to finish.
We are a consolidator, not an airline
BookCheapNFly LLC, trading as Airfare Tickets, is an independent travel agency that holds ticketing contracts with airline consolidators. A consolidator buys airline seats in volume under a negotiated agreement and resells them through agencies like ours. We do not own aircraft, we do not operate flights, and we are not an agent of any airline. When you book with us, your contract of carriage is with the operating airline; our role is to find, price and issue the ticket.
Why these fares are quoted rather than published
Most consolidator agreements restrict public display of the negotiated price. That restriction is the whole reason the fare exists at that level, and it is why you will not find these prices by searching. An agent quotes them to you directly. The trade-off is that you spend ten minutes on the phone instead of ten seconds on a form — and on long-haul international routes, that is usually a trade worth making.
The booking process, step by step
1. You call and describe the trip
Tell the agent the route, your dates, the number of passengers, and how much flexibility you have. Say plainly what matters to you: shortest total travel time, fewest stops, specific airline, checked bags included, a particular airport. The more constraints we know up front, the fewer wasted quotes.
2. The agent prices it live
While you are on the line, we check our consolidator inventory alongside published fares. If the public fare is genuinely better, we will tell you so — there is no point pretending otherwise, and you would find out in thirty seconds anyway.
3. You hear the complete total
Before any payment is discussed, the agent states the full amount: base fare, government taxes, airline-imposed carrier fees, and any service fee. If your itinerary has restrictions that matter — non-refundable, no date changes, no seat selection, carry-on only — those are stated too.
4. Payment and ticketing
If you accept, we take payment on a recorded, authorized line. Nothing is charged without your explicit authorization for the stated amount. We then issue the ticket and email you the confirmation and e-ticket number, usually within a few minutes and always within a few hours.
5. After you book
Your e-ticket is live in the airline's system, and you can manage seats and check-in directly with the carrier using the confirmation code we send you. If you need a change, call us and we will work it with the airline, subject to that fare's rules and the fees described below.
What we charge, stated up front
Our quoted fare includes all airline taxes and carrier fees. If you later need to change or cancel a ticket we issued, a service fee applies, in addition to any penalty the airline imposes under its own fare rules. Some fares are non-refundable by airline rule.
The exact amount of any service fee is stated to you before you authorize payment — on the original booking call, and again before we process any change. We tell you the total — fare, taxes, and any fee — before you give us a card. Nothing is charged without your authorization. Read the full Refund & Cancellation Policy.
What we will not do
We think it is worth being explicit about the things some agencies in this industry do that we do not:
- We do not charge a card without reading you the exact amount first and getting your authorization.
- We do not describe a non-refundable fare as refundable, or a basic economy fare as a standard one.
- We do not add fees after the fact. The number you agree to on the call is the number that is charged.
- We do not claim airline affiliation, membership, or accreditation we do not hold, and we do not display trust marks we are not entitled to display.
- We do not use pressure tactics on the phone. If you want to think it over, take the quote and call back.
What we need from you
To issue a ticket, we need each traveler's full name exactly as printed on the passport or government ID that will be used for travel, plus date of birth, and for international travel, passport number, nationality and expiry date. Airlines charge to correct a misspelled name after ticketing, and some do not permit corrections at all — so this is the one part of the call worth slowing down for.
Travel documents are your responsibility
Passports, visas, transit visas, and any health or entry requirements for your destination are the traveler's responsibility. We will flag anything obvious we notice, but we cannot verify entry requirements on your behalf and we are not liable if you are denied boarding or entry for missing documentation. Check with the destination's consulate and your airline before you travel.
